George's Island from Townie by Townie

Was about the fifth of May
Gone sailing on the weekend
Passed around the whiskey jar
Raised some up to gull nearby
Can't say I need baby
Can say, it calms me down

So to my uncle I did pose
A question no one else could hear
On the west side of George's Island
Is that a man out there being pulled to sea
Turn this boat around
It's only 12 degrees and the water is colder

My boat was flipped right upside down
