Eto'ichkee by Tranquil Hall

Thank you to anyone reading this for taking the time to check out my debut EP, Eto’ichkee.

Eto'ichkee is a Muskogee Creek word for
"Mother Tree". Mother Trees are the biggest, oldest trees in the forest. They are the glue that holds the forest together.

At 12 years old, I received the name Eto (tree) at the Kvnfvske (Kun-fuss-key)
Traditional Stompgrounds in NW Florida. My heritage has always been a huge part of my identity. In 2021, my mother, Ann Lorraine Hall, was laid to rest. This caused me a lot of pain and heartache, and thus, Tranquil Hall was born in an effort to not hide from these feelings, but to feel them to the fullest extent…and then simply let them go.
I like to think these 5 instrumental tracks represent the feelings I've been dealing with and tell a story of emotion. The story, of course, is open to interpretation of the listener. Countless stories played out in varying peoples minds, guided through music.
