The Encounta is the EP TRASE debuted with as a solo artist. The album was presented on May 31st 2001.
It was the breakthrough for TRASE as an artist and gain him lot of national attention. Together with his crew, Sparkness Art consisting of TRASE, IMPRO, KWAEL, B-FRESH and DJ IRIE he recorded 10 more tracks.

TRASE (Erik de Wal, 1976) is a recording artist from The Netherlands and brings the Real Hip Hop since '91. Went for his in '97 after breaking up with his former band.
In 2012 several albums were released; One EP followed by two albums. October 2013 saw the release of a new collaborative album with Sneek-based producer Elgee da Beatdetonator entitled "Back In Prime Form" on Freshmess Music.
