Like the title implies, the song takes you nowhere in particular; but as Nelson Algren's epitaph quotes, "'The end is nothing, the road is all'"
The quote is attributable to Willa Cather; I don't know what she meant by it, but I know why Algren chose it for his epitaph.
This song is dedicated to all those who truly understand.
