Berlin Blues from BunkerMusik by The Utopian Futurist Society
Originally composed fall 1979, based on a child singing outside my window in West Berlin, West Germany. Over the past few years I've added to this composition, and ultimately as I was recording Berlin Blues during the pandemic, it morphed quite a bit. The tune is dark, ominous, and ultimately apocalyptic, an expression of the heavier thoughts I've had during this pandemic. There are all kinds of walls in this world. Break them all down!

Thomas Blomster is Music Director of the Colorado Chamber Orchestra and Music Director Emeritus of the Douglas County Youth Orchestra. He continues to be a freelance musician throughout Colorado. He has performed in New Zealand, Mexico, across the USA, and has numerous recordings as composer, arranger, conductor, and percussionist. The UFS is his love child!
