While SEE I’M YOU is about finding yourself in someone else, SONG 6 is about losing yourself in someone else. The key to any artistic endeavor is achieving a balance between the two. The song’s title is in Japanese and translates to the “dusky legged guan,” a South American bird. The dusky legged guan’s Latin name is Penelope Obscura. This circuitous language helps illustrate that sometimes intense focus can only blur our true selves and incliations. We obscure Penelope with our own actions.
