Everything's Fine. by Victim of The Ambient

While 2020 has ended, life is still not back to normal. But I made this album to celebrate the end of 2020 and to focus on hope and optimism. The album's title and artwork show the juxtaposition of living in the pandemic.
Inspired by the bands This Will Destroy You and Pg.Lost.

The first track basically lays out the statement above.

The second and third tracks represent the artwork where shapes and dimensions are collapsing in on themselves. (hence, Geometry Breaking Down)

Tragic was the first song for this project and was originally going to be the album opener, but I didn't have a theme to open and close the album like I normally do. Someone once called me "Tragic" and that stuck to me.

Struck Idiophones is just a fancy way of saying bells, as bells are very prominent in this track.

A Long Walk To The End Of A Year represents how slow the last few months of 2020 went for me.

The last track is basically a call to action to compromise and work together. I haven't brought politics into my music (and hopefully I don't need to anymore), but after recent events, I wanted to say something along the lines of 'we need to stop fighting each other and work together'.

Whether it's electronica, post-rock, progressive, or drone textures, Victim of The Ambient always has one thing underlying it all: ambient atmosphere.
