Trilogy by Victim of The Ambient

Trilogy was originally intended to be a triple album, with three distinct vibes for each album. However, this was too ambitious of a project, so Trilogy became three massive songs ranging from dark ambient drone to heavy post-rock to four-on-the-floor progressive electronica.

Shapes of Light took years in the making as some sections were written as far back as 2020, first as an improvisation on an electronic organ, then as a working title for a scrapped EP which would've included Cardboard Canyons, and the final section was originally part of a scrapped song named '3 am'

The Heart Survives All was inspired by the harrowing story of Hisashi Ouchi, who received what should've been a lethal dose of radiation in a workplace accident. Hisashi survived, but for the next almost 3 months, he was stuck in a hospital bed, decomposing while alive because the radiation destroyed his body's ability to regenerate body tissue.

In the end, Hisashi passed away, and during this autopsy, his heart was inexplicably untouched by the rot and radiation. That detail immediately struck me enough that I wrote this song about it.

A Never-Ending Party returns to the roots of my ambient/electronic early albums, but it is extended to a monster of a track.
