Happy Abduction is the 6th studio album from Victoriana Gaye, produced by Shane O’Mara at his Yikesville Studio, complete with a band of talented Melbourne friends. Art rockers Vicki Philipp and Jeff Raglus return in very good company.
Lost in a world of compulsive melody making and a shared harmonic intimacy, creating art and music bred from the wild South West Coast of Victoria. Their songs have a common thread of the something other.
With the guidance of O’Mara, they have produced a sonic journey that presents their own signature sound. The 10 songs have a cinematic scope yet stay grounded in pop ideology. Happy Abduction is a round trip fuelled by nature, rising tides, old roads and the knowledge that we’re all just passing through.
