INVENÇÕES by Victor Pereira

The project "INVENÇÕES" consists in a recording and ulterior presentation of a set of works for clarinet and piano from contemporary Portuguese composers. Being almost in its entirety first absolute recordings, this project includes pieces by Luís Tinoco, Luís Carvalho, Telmo Marques, Ana de Ataíde Magalhães and Hugo Vasco Reis, a diversified and clearly demonstrative set of the vigor that we currently experience in erudite musical composition in Portugal. It is intended, beyond the choices and insight of the interpreters, to enrich the Portuguese heritage of contemporary creation throught the divulgation of music and their composers, and, particularly, of the Portuguese composition for clarinet and piano.

Since 2000 Victor Pereira is Remix Ensemble Casa da Música's soloist.
Recorded “Concerto” with the Remix Ensemble; “Mo(vi)mentos” for solo clarinet; “Metal” by the duo 2RV; and “Invenções” with works for clarinet and piano. The magazine “Gramophone” included the album “Pascal Dusapin ao Vivo”, with the participation of Victor Pereira as a soloist, in its Critics' Choice list for 2013.
