Was the place a star would shine
Brilliant, scorching obelisk
I’m immortal, she might think.

But not all was meant to last
And her life would soon be past
Blinded by a pulsing thrill
Made her downfall greater still

Clouds of blue and purple glass
Split into a thousand parts
Pain and pleasure mixed as one
All radiated by this sun

Shockwaves sent through time and space
Setting light itself ablaze
Half a galaxy away
She had turned the night to day

Tears of gold and iron blood
Spilled out in a cosmic flood
All too fast for her to react
Nothing would be left intact

As the glow consumed her soul
Violent screams formed a black hole
And whatever did shine still
Was soon shredded into nil.
