drugaya zhizn by Vikolt

This release conceptually closes the period of activity started with "Promised Land", dedicated to my great-grand parents who were repressed during the Stalin's soviet era in 1937-38 and, in general, to the topic of memory about our relatives who have gone.

drugaya zhizn (another life) is sad meditation about what if people who important for us сould lived another version of life where they could avoid misfortunes which they gone through.

zhdet nas (waits for us) is memory about my first travel to the Black Sea with my parents and about phone call to mu grandma from there. First words she told me was: "My dear, have you seen the sea? Did you swim?" This track closes all memorial cycle and refers to the central image: far and happy home where all generations of our relatives live together. Someday we'll join them too.

Релиз концептуально замыкает период активности, начавшийся с композиции «Promised Land». Она посвящена моим репрессированным родственникам и, в целом, памяти об ушедших родных.

Последние треки тоже посвящены памяти. «Другая жизнь» — медитация-сожаление о том, какой могла бы быть жизнь дорогих нам людей, если бы они избежали пережитых несчастий.

"Ждёт нас" — воспоминание о первой в жизни поездке на море, о разговоре с бабушкой по таксофону и первых её словах: "Ты море видел? Купался?" Этот трек замыкает весь цикл и отсылает к его центральному образу — далёкий счастливый дом, в котором собрались ушедшие поколения наших родных. Когда-нибудь и мы займём место за их общим столом.
