Norway's Pioneering Experimental Rockers VIRUS are set to release a two-track 7" EP titled "Investigator"
VIRUS was formed in 2000 by guitarist and vocalist Carl "Czral" Michael Eide who wanted to move on from avant-garde Black Metal of VED BUENS ENDE, and create a new kind of experimental metal / rock. The band's first, and only, demo was released that same year, and was followed by three full-length studio albums before signing with Karisma Records.
It was the partnership with Karisma Records that led to the release of the band's critically acclaimed "Memento Collider" in 2016, an album which saw VIRUS return to its original three-piece lineup of of Carl-Michael "Czral" Eide on guitars and vocals, Petter "Plenum" Berntsen on bass and Einar "Einz" Sjursø on drums. Together they create an otherworldly sound that is filled with flowing bass lines, experimental riffs and groovy rhythms.
