Waning Gibbous by Waning Gibbous
Waning Gibbous is an open collective involving dozens of musicians. This album is the group's debut work-- a self-titled, hour-length collection of experimental ambient music.
Musicians meet every 28-29 days on the evening of the full moon to record music made up on the spot. This 13-track album is the final product of full-moon recording sessions which took place over the period November 2014 to October 2015.
The recordings are the first in a planned series of eight albums which will run thematically in title from ‘Waning Gibbous’, through the phases of the moon, to the final album ‘Full Moon’-- due out some time in 2023.
