Anthill by Wanted Sound

Recording this one was a little scary. No one in their right mind wants to mess with ants! I tried my best not to disturb them, and thanked them afterwards for letting me record their movements with the contact mic.

The first nest was teeming with activity. So many ants in a huge radius of the nest. I was surprised that none of them were really bothered by my presence even at a distance as I must have been treading on a fair few unintentionaly. Getting closer was a different story of course. I made quick deliberate, well planned movements to place the sound recorder and mic before disappearing quickly before any ants could raise the alarm.
