Quite often, over the last couple of months, the feeling of being overwhelmed by the future has been a recurring one. Our grappling with the uncertainty and our lack of control. I also realised that a lot of that had to do with regret, about past decisions and being anxious about not wanting to screw up again.
I’ve just been more aware of this than usual, and I’ve been noticing it in many people around me. How we are consumed by the past and the future to the point where we treat today as literally just something we have to “get through”. All destination, zero journey. Our focus and attention is almost entirely not on where we are and what we have right now...
