Early in the Covid pandemic, as we all turned ever more online, I watched as friends and families bifurcated into their different echo chambers. Statements that seemed flippant or innocous caused deep divisions as I realized that the opinions I was ridiculing were held by people close to me. We all became like dogs at the window, barking angrily through our screens at people that we would be excited to see face to face.
This song was born out of the regret of that carelessness, and has been tweaked and edited and rerecorded and remixed until it arrived in the form you hear now.
