The Valley by The Valley

This EP was inspired by long walks through vast, peaceful pine forests and cosy evenings by the fireplace with hot tea and chocolate. By the storms raging outside and rain splattering against the windows.
It's a declaration of love to beautiful moments, nature and the quiet space within.

The main part of recording was done in just one day in one room with as few takes and as simple a set up as possible.
We just wanted rid of all the technical troubles of recording to stay true to the places and memories these songs came from.

While the base work was done in the lovely city of Newcastle (UK) we finished the EP under the sunny skies of Vietnam. It was there by the shores of the South China Sea that we witnessed a problem first hand that we had previously only known about from random news snippets and the blue planet series. Plastic polution.
So we decided to do something about it and make this EP part of it. This means that 50% of all earnings from it will go towards cleaning up the ocean.
We hope that you will support us on this journey and that you enjoy this EP as much as we enjoyed writing and recording it.
