Bin Tepe by Limestone Ziggurat
This is the first iteration of 'Bin Tepe' - initially one of several outtakes/variations from the sixteen-oscillator session that produced 'Cenotaph' - https://weltlandschaft.bandcamp.com/album/cenotaph - presented here in two halves that together form the (w)hole.
'Bin Tepe' explores specific sections of the frequency spectrum, highlighting both lower and higher ends while diminishing much of the gulf between those areas, where most of the more "traditional" harmonic content in a droning chord exists. Instead, the listening experience is animated by a lively group of ear-tickling upper frequencies and supported by a foundation of almost totally subharmonic bass. Only here, in the world of sound and vibration, is it possible to stand at the top of a mountain peak and remain prostrate at its feet.
