Desculptural by Limestone Ziggurat
The first part of a diptych from Limestone Ziggurat, unifying several different concepts of duality and recursion through the use of seven different ring modulators processing thirteen different waveforms (generated from self-oscillating filters and phasers, feedbacking delays, audible-range LFOs and traditional oscillators).
1. Nonlinearcircuits Ming Rod ring modulator, receiving ramp and square waveforms from Buchla 258t.
2. Blue Lantern CMOS Party logic module, receiving audible-range pointed waveforms from Buchla 281t Quad Function Generator, with XOR output sent to After Later Audio Stairs. Expert Sleepers Disting Mk4 multi-tool module, in A2 (dual four-quadrant multiplier mode), receiving audible-range pointed waveforms from Buchla 281t, with the Disting's positive output signal sent to Stairs.
3. Befaco A*B+C dual four-quadrant multiplier, receiving sinewaves from Doepfer A-188-1 (256 stages) and Dave Smith Instruments DSM03 Feedback module in A1/B1, with Doepfer A-188-2 and Dreadbox Utopia's audible range LFO in A2/B2.
Utilities include Buchla 292t Quad Lo Pass Gate, After Later Audio Stairs stereo ladder filter, Mutable Instruments' Links (1:3 multiple) and Toppobrillo Minimix. Generated in Pittsburgh Modular Structure EP-420 and EP-270 cases, and recorded in GoldWave at 16-bit depth and 48000 hertz sampling rate. Post-proc completed in GoldWave using a nine-stage stereo panned delay and a parametric equalizer.
