Solo Works is a series of four compositions for brass instruments exploring a sound-based and psychoacoustic approach to solo performance, applying extended instrument preparations and fundamental principles of sound synthesis to this acoustic medium. Planes of extruded tone are sculpted into taut, acerbic forms, emphasizing rich timbral detail and an intense sonic physicality. Listen loud.
