ABACUS - io by Year of the Sun Records

Abacus’ “Io” encompasses the themes of growth, death, struggle, victory, and defeat over its five tracks. In fact, the ideas on the mind of front man Chris Schroeder are best represented by the vocal layering and intricate music that cocoons around his authoritative voice. That’s when you crank the juice up on your stereo that extra little bit just before your speakers start to crackle. This is a great place to start if you’re a fan of What’s He Building in There as that band features four of the ex-members of Abacus.
