Desperately from Riverside by Zak Schaffer

In addition to recording things at home, I did spend a day in the studio with some local folks. Some of those tracks turned out great. Desperately is one of them. I originally pictured this song with piano and strings with no drums, but just for the hell of it, we tried it with drums and were delighted with it. It reminds me of Plastic Ono Band. Lots of expensive chords on this one.

UPDATE:

Zak has moved to Austin!

Zak Schaffer has been a fixture on the Austin music scene for six months. He's been a side guy (Pete Yorn) and Engineer/Producer a singer songwriter. If it has something to do with music, he's probably done it. Zak's currently working on a new release that should drop in the spring.
