Does it make you wonder as you sit and ponder
What it is that makes some folks so mean
Do their shoes pinch on their toes or maybe, heaven knows
Their undies are unclean

If we dared to chance and gave a wedgie to their pants
Would it make a change in their position
Having shorts that ride way up their butt
Who knows, it might just change their disposition

Meanies of this world
Are trying hard to get their flag unfurled
Meanies of your town
Hey meanies, you won't keep us down

Whatever makes it so we sure wish that it would go
And make a nice man of this meanie
We’re looking for change of heart – any measure
Of improvement, even teenie

If there is a change of heart, we would take it for a start
Not tomorrow but today
We’ve all put up with quite enough of people gruff
They need to change their ways

Are trying hard to get their flag unfurled
Meanies of your town
Hey meanies, you won't keep us down

Maybe if we smile and try friendliness a while
He will join the human race
Wouldn’t it be cool if this old, bitter fool
Could put a big grin on his face
