Mikroskopien II by Norbert Pfammatter + Zimoun

The series 'Mikroskopien' is based on microscopic recordings and sounds, which I dissect into their smallest parts in the studio. In doing so, I use different highly sensitive microphones and recording methods. In this way, I reach into the sonic microstructures. Somehow I did not really create the melodies you hear in this album myself, but rather discovered, excavated and isolated them, similar to the way one encounters visual patterns and textures with a microscope and enhances its visibility.

The only material used for 'Mikroskopien II' is an audio recording of one cymbal played by Norbert Pfammatter. All the sounds you hear were kind of hidden in that one recording.
