Riding A Camel In The Middle Of The Sea by Almwaya

Almwaya is a project by Maya Aghniadis (Flugen) and Wael Sami Elkholy, two composers with their own musical languages. Maya and Wael met in Switzerland in 2020, where they directly connected on various levels and composed their first track, Bea.

After a two-week residency in Athens, their album Riding a Camel in the Middle of the Sea was born—an eight-track storyline merging both musical realms influenced by the mediterranean sea.

An electro-acoustic approach that reflects the colours of deserts, mountains and seas.
The sound of Almwaya follows a flow that ignores barriers and expectations.
