Did they flicker?

And I'm still waiting to breathe.

You stare at me as though
I'm less than skin and bones.
I stand luminescent.

While your face retained its glow,
I really can't suppose
It's from me not being.

I'm not that cool breeze that rushed in.
But how can I defend, I'm speaking,
your not hearing, Lost in the meaning?
