About a years passed now,
since I said to myself.

to quit my thinking of you.
Last year I quit smoking
all of those cigarettes
and this year I quit thinking of you.
Each came with a healthy dose of regret,
and you guessed it,
a does of healthy too.
When each pressed upon my lips,
it was poison. Rarely could I resist.
Now, all I'm asking for is.
When I wake up every morning
I quit reaching for a body that don't exist.
It was cold winter morning
but at least the sun kept shining in.
I saw snowflakes fall,
so small, they shone like glitter.
